The level of immersion at Universal Epic Universe won’t stop at the portals exploring the worlds of the Universal Monsters, Super Nintendo, How to Train Your Dragon, and Harry Potter. Fans will be able to take home merch that elevates the idea of “souvenirs” to a whole new level, with unique knick knacks and goods that feel right out of the places you visit. And after the looks we got recently at the intriguingly strange food, the roll out continues to surpass expectations.
As a Universal Monsters fan, I am ecstatic about the Dark Universe collection of products, which you can just tell were created by lovers of the classic franchise. It’s all based on the new, official theme-park universe interpretations of Frankenstein, the Bride, Dracula, the Gill-man, the Mummy, and the Wolfman, and the characters take center stage in their own land’s electric fashion and artifacts you can exchange that hard earned coin to get (no werewolf pelt trades).
There’s lots of old Hollywood horror-inspired items too, in addition to the stylishly modern interpretations. What’s great is that the new artistic renderings on the merch and throughout Dark Universe’s attractions don’t stray dramatically away from the iconic looks we know and love.
The care to pay tribute to their original silhouettes and color palettes meaningfully captures the love of the lore and brings it to a new generation. Which, speaking of, there’s also a kids’ collection and we’re obsessed with it for the littles. Look at the joyful mini Creature From the Black Lagoon!
