Mark Cuban Shares the Dumbest Video Ever Uploaded to Bluesky

Spread the love

Mark Cuban is probably best known as that billionaire on Shark Tank. But did you also know he’s quickly becoming the worst poster on Bluesky? It’s true.

Cuban shared an AI-generated video on Friday that may rank as the single worst piece of media ever created for an emerging social media platform. And that’s obviously an extremely high bar.

What did Cuban share? Well, it’s kind of hard to explain. Imagine the kind of political video that makes absolutely nobody happy and manages to piss off anyone with two brain cells to rub together. Imagine the kind of video that asks the question, “what if fascists are actually our best friends?” Imagine the kind of video that has Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi in MAGA hats and Donald Trump hugging Barack Obama.

The video, was sent out by Cuban with the caption “You have to manifest it first ?” and Cuban himself even makes an AI-appearance next to a poorly rendered versions of Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk. The theme of the video is MAUA, or Make America United Again.

Yep, that’s quite a video, isn’t it? Just absolute dogshit wrapped in AI—the aesthetics of fascism at this point. It’s also just not very well made from a technical standpoint.

Like, what the hell is going on here? That’s… Trump?

Mark Cuban was embraced by Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign in 2024 as a billionaire who could apparently offer some advice on technology policy, including crypto. And there have been plenty of rumors about how Cuban himself might want to run for president one day. Kara Swisher, the billionaire tech mogul whisperer herself, recently said she thinks it could happen.

But people who like Cuban as a potential political candidate seem to be living in a very antiquated version of Democratic politics. Cuban is a centrist at a time when extremism has taken root in the Republican Party. So many Democrats seem convinced that Harris’s problem is that she was too extreme, despite the fact that she was campaigning with literal Republicans like Liz Cheney and never shared a stage with the “extreme” lefty candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Cuban has made a transition to Bluesky as some kind of protest against Musk and his connections to Trump, as these guys completely destroy the U.S. government. And yet, Cuban is sharing a video about how it’s great to unite with these fascists. It’s all very confusing.

But at least some Democrats are joining in the spirit of Cuban’s “Make America United Again” campaign. Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, helped push forward the Republican spending package that keeps the government open. Schumer’s rationale is that if they didn’t let the Republicans have everything they want, Musk would fire a bunch of federal employees, something he’s already been doing.

No, Schumer’s logic doesn’t make any sense. But at least the Democrats got absolutely nothing in return for giving Trump everything he wanted. In fact, Trump even praised Schumer Friday morning for his support. Way to go, Chuck. You’re really uniting America.
