Slack, the popular messaging platform for workplaces, appeared to be down for a number of users on Wednesday.
Numerous employees at Mashable, including this writer, weren’t able to access Slack on desktop, instead receiving a server error message.

The issue appeared to be pretty widespread. Slack’s own status website showed issues with messaging and connectivity, among other features. Down Detector showed a sharp spike in reports of problems with Slack, starting after 10:10 a.m. ET. (Full disclosure: Down Detector is owned by the same parent company as Mashable.)
