In conversation with Countdown City Geeks (via Bloody-Disgusting), director Babak Anvari (Under the Shadow, Wounds) confirmed his sequel to Cloverfield is still in development at Paramount.

So sad that I cannot [say anything], because everyone on that team, they’re very secretive. Which I understand. But I love your excitement. And whatever happens, just know that hopefully you’re gonna get something amazing.

Meanwhile, Jenefer Brown, EVP and Head of Global Products & Experiences at Lionsgate confirmed a fifth John Wick movie is in development during a recent interview with Comic Book.

This world continues to grow and expand in incredible ways. Up next, of course, we have Ballerina, which is our first spin-off movie and [we] can’t wait for that to release to the world. Of course, we’ve announced we’re working on a fifth John Wick film. I think there are more spinoffs to come, a TV series, video game.

We’ve shared that we’re developing a fifth John Wick film … [John Wick] may be [dead]. We are all on baited breath waiting to find out.

However, Gemma Chan was less positive she’d be returning to the MCU as Sersi anytime soon during another recent interview with Comic Book.

You never know. We’re often the last people to find out. I don’t know, I’m keeping the faith. I feel like there’s unfinished business there and there’s more story to tell, but we’ll see.

Cujo

Deadline reports a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Cujo is now in development at Netflix, though no writers, directors or stars are currently attached.

Final Destination: Bloodlines

According to the Irish Film Classification Office, Final Destination: Bloodlines runs 109 minutes and 40 seconds long, making it the longest entry in the franchise to date.

Relatedly, a new poster (via Bloody-Disgusting) highlights the film’s “R” rating for “strong violent/grisly accidents.”

Junk World

Takahide Hori’s Junk Head gets a sequel with the trailer for Junk World, opening in Japanese theaters this June 13.

During the Hannibal reunion panel at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con 2025 (via Popverse), Mads Mikkelsen continued to hold out hope for more seasons of the beloved series.

Why would we want to see an ending? We want to see it continued. Obviously, there’s no way at least Hannibal’s not going to survive that. Of course, he’s going to survive that, and so is Will. It’s just a question of how much we jump in time because if we do a jump of six or seven years, it can be very interesting what these guys are doing now. So, I don’t want to see an ending, I want to see a fresh start.

YOLO: Rainbow Trinity
